Training 1-2-1
My methods are based upon kind and easy to learn techniques, such as clicker training. Dog psychology plays a very important part of any session as does sound and touch therapy. No matter how big or small the issues or problems your dog has, whether you need me for helping you with your current dog, rehabilitaton of a rescue or introducing a new puppy to your home, I will find a way of helping, I am all about the dog!
As well as being fully A.D.T.B. qualified, I am fully insured, highly experienced and I constantly strive to educate myself in new techniques and theories on dog behaviour and learning. I have rehabilitated my own dogs, past and present, with the exception of my Miniature English Bull terrier, whom I raised from a puppy! I also currently own 2 rescued Standard English Bull Terriers and I work hard to eradicate the bad reputation of this much maligned breed. There too many bullies in rescue centres through no fault of their own and I hope to become more involved with the rescue aspect of the breed.
I specialise in 1-2-1 behavioural therapy and dog training and carefully evaluate each case before deciding upon an inidvidualised training program. Sessions can last about 2-4 hours, usually in your home and in most cases only one is needed! This dependant upon the nature of the issue, your dogs' personality, how it learns and reacts to situations. All dogs and owners are different! Complex and some aggression cases may need further sessions. For Puppy training, I may suggest a few sessions in succession to accomodate puppies lack of concentration and sometimes confidence at a very young age or you may prefer short weekly sessions.
Any tools needed such as clickers, leads etc., are included in the cost as is lifetime support. Residential dog training may be suggested for the problem pooch, this takes place in my home in South Gloucestershire. A dog can learn a lot from living with a pack for a small amount of time as my 3 dogs are calm and well mannered.
