"I do not use so called 'pack leader' techniques"

Behaviour & Training Consults
for Puppies and Dogs

I do not conform to a particular method or technique nor do I have a standardised program, everything is entirely bespoke depending upon the problem and your personal circumstances. I may use clicker training or I may help socialise your dog with one of my own stooge dogs. While I do consider myself a positive (+R) trainer, indeed I do not condone the use of harsh methods or implements, I do keep it real and relaxed. You can say ¡Æno¡Ç to your dog as long as you positively inform your dog what you require and reinforce that instead! However I do not use so called 'pack leader' techniques.

You may want your puppy trained at home rather than conventional classes or in conjunction with or you may have a specific behavioural issue which you need professional help with.

Puppies: I offer a bespoke service for puppies comprising of likeskills such as controlled greetings with people and dogs, loose leads, emergency stop, drop (useful if they pick up something they shouldn't) and settle (useful if you need to stop for a chat). Using non-aversive methods only and often teach owners how to clicker train. A clicker makes a unique sound and training becomes self motivating for the puppy! The skills are usually taught over a few weeks allowing puppy time to process learning and relax fully between sessions.

I gain as much information as possible about your dog and may require vet referrals to rule out medical causes for your dogs' behaviour. Please see my Events page, Facebook and Twitter pages for announcements on events and new services.
