About Me
I have Asperger Syndrome (AS is an autism spectrum neurological disorder) and my love of animals began at an early age: they never seem to mind that I am different! I don’t view them as a possession or commodity, more of a companion and friend and I have learned so much from them. Oddly although not altogether unsurprisingly, I have a softspot for animals with character and personality, those which are a little different from others and often labelled as naughty and untrainable!
On offer are behaviour sessions for groups as well as the private sessions and have over 20 years combined experience; owner and professional. My hero Temple Grandin said "autistic people can think like animals can think" and she inspired me to embrace my difference and not allow any person, physical disability or mental disabilities get in my way! My advice is realistic, bespoke and honest.
Got pet insurance? You may be able to claim my fees back. It may require a referral to your vet to be referred back to me to be covered though, check your small print!
I’m also delighted to be the behaviourist for Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary in Bristol, a registered charity which relies solely on donations from the public. I write behaviour articles for Bull Terrier Monthly, my blog is regularly updated and I have recently begun adding video's to YouTube overcoming personal difficulties to do so as has my whole career!
